Get Cumbria Buzzing is a community-orientated project. Working with local communities, Local Authorities, Highways England and partners across North West Cumbria, the project focus is to create a network of wildflower havens to help boost Bumblebees and other wild pollinating insects. Recording the Buzz

CBDC and Get Cumbria Buzzing want your help to find out what pollinators are in Cumbria and where they are.  We are inviting you to tell us about the insects you see visiting flowers in your garden or whilst you are out enjoying the Cumbria’s coast and countryside or strolling around a town.  At the end of the Get Cumbria Buzzing project CBDC will create a pollinator atlas which will summarise the Recording the Buzz records and inform future wildlife conservation in the county.

You can show us what you have seen by uploading your photographs to our Project on iNaturalist.
